Knowledge Wisdom

Humanity grows more and more intelligent [knowledgeable], yet there is clearly more trouble and less happiness daily.
How can this be?
It is because intelligence (knowledge) is not the same thing as wisdom.
-Hua Hu Ching: The Unknown Teachings of Lao Tzu (Brian Walker)

KNOWLEDGE

• Science of matter
• Separative – Objective
• Divides
• Differentiates
• Deals with the identity
• The sum total of human discovery and experiences recognized by the five senses:

a) Correlated
b) Diagnosed
c) Defined by the human Intellect (the Thinker)

WISDOM

• Science of the spirit
• Inclusive – Subjective
• Unites
• Blends
• Concerns the OneSelf
• Has to do with Life within form:

a) Evolution of Life
b) Growing capacity of the Thinker to enter increasingly into the mind of the OneSelf

 UNDERSTANDING:

The ability of the Thinker in Time to gather knowledge as the foundation for wisdom. It is that which enables the Thinker to adapt the things of form to the life of the spirit and to the flashes of inspiration that come to her/him from wisdom and link them to the facts of knowledge.

Note: above summarized from Initiation, Human and Solar by Alice Bailey

TWO MISTAKES OF KNOWLEDGE:

1) Knowing wrongly
2) Assuming that reality is limited to what you know

Love Without End by Glenda Green

"Knowledge without Use and Expression is a vain thing, bringing no good to its possessor, or to the race. Beware of Mental Miserliness, and express into Action that which you have learned."
